Why choose Confidents Teeth Whitening?

We’re not a chain, and we’re not a clinic in disguise—we’re a boutique teeth whitening studio that keeps things personal, private, and real. We’re family-run and proudly local!

Is teeth whitening safe?

Yes! Our treatments are safe when performed by one of our trained technicians. We use professional-grade whitening gels and follow protocols designed to protect your enamel and minimize sensitivity. We also offer post-treatment enamel support to keep your smile both bright and healthy.

Our approach is designed for real results and repeatable care—so you can whiten safely, consistently, and confidently.

Will teeth whitening cause sensitivity?

Some clients may feel a bit of sensitivity during or after whitening, but it’s usually mild and temporary. Most people don’t experience any discomfort at all, especially with our hand-applied, in-clinic treatments where everything is carefully controlled by a trained specialist.

If sensitivity is a concern, we can apply desensitizing gel or gum barriers during your treatment to help keep things comfortable. Just let us know and we’ll tailor the session to you.

Whiter teeth shouldn’t come with a side of regret and at Confidents, they don’t.

Can I whiten my teeth if I have braces or dental restorations?

If you have braces, we recommend waiting until they’re removed before doing any in-clinic whitening. Whitening only works on exposed enamel, so anything under brackets won’t lift, which can leave uneven results.

For crowns, veneers, or fillings, whitening won’t change the colour of the restoration itself. But we can still whiten the natural teeth around them to help everything blend more evenly.

That said, our Daily White foam is safe to use with both braces and restorations. It won’t change the colour of dental work, but it can help reduce surface stains and keep your smile looking fresh between visits. It’s a gentle, low-commitment option for ongoing care.

What’s the difference between in-clinic and take-home whitening?

In-clinic whitening delivers faster, more dramatic results—all in one visit. It’s safe, professional, and done by trained specialists, so you don’t have to guess, mix, or wonder if it’s working. You’ll leave with visibly brighter teeth and that just-whitened confidence.

We do offer take-home kits for maintenance between appointments, but for your first treatment—or whenever you want the best possible results—nothing compares to an in-clinic session.

Think of the kit as a backup. The real magic happens in the chair.

How long does a whitening treatment take?

Our most popular treatment, the Classic Confidents, takes about 1.5 hours from start to finish. That includes a quick intake, prep, and three rounds of hand-applied whitening gel with 20 minutes of processing time each. The actual whitening is fast—it’s the care and attention around it that make the results stand out.

If you’re short on time, the Express Confidents is a 40 minute option designed for lighter touch-ups or a quick boost before an event.

Not sure which is right for you? We’re happy to help you choose based on your goals.

How long do whitening results last?

It really depends on your lifestyle. Things like coffee, red wine, smoking, and even genetics can affect how long your teeth stay bright. For some, results can last several months with minimal fading—others may notice touch-ups are needed sooner.

At Confidents, we believe whitening shouldn’t be a once-a-year thing. That’s why we offer flexible maintenance options, including quarterly treatments and take-home boosters, to help you stay consistently bright without starting from scratch.

We’ll work with you to create a routine that fits your habits and keeps your smile looking fresh year-round.

How do I protect my gums during whitening?

With our hand-applied whitening treatments, there’s no need to worry—our technique is precise and designed to avoid direct contact with the gums. That’s one of the benefits of seeing a trained specialist instead of using a one-size-fits-all tray.

If your gums are particularly sensitive or you’re concerned, we can apply a protective barrier to keep everything extra comfortable. Just let us know—we tailor every session to you.

What should I avoid after whitening?

For 24 hours post-treatment, avoid dark foods/drinks (ie. coffee, red wine, berries) and acidic items to protect porous enamel. Use Minerals Enamel Booster™ to accelerate enamel hardening and seal your results.

How long does at-home whitening take?

At-home whitening with the Beaming White kit takes consistency and a bit of patience. Each session lasts about 30 to 60 minutes, and while some clients notice a difference after just a few uses, full results typically build over 7 to 10 days of daily use.

It’s important to stick with it—whitening at home is a gradual process, and skipping days can affect your outcome.

What products can I use to maintain my white smile?

We recommend:

  • Daily White: A whitening foam replacing toothpaste, with xylitol to prevent cavities and promote gum health.
  • Forever White XL: A whitening pen for touch-ups with double the gel for convenience.
  • White Charcoal: A mess-free whitening powder with minerals and xylitol.
  • Natural Teeth Whitening Toothpaste: Vegan, fluoride-free, and safe for daily stain removal.
  • Minerals Enamel Booster: Apply post-whitening to seal results and strengthen enamel.
Are your products safe for daily use?

Yes, our maintenance products, such as Daily White, White Charcoal, and Natural Teeth Whitening Toothpaste, are safe for daily use, formulated without harmful chemicals, fluoride, or GMOs. They are also vegan and cruelty-free.
